Background:
The purpose of this position is to support the implementation,
monitoring and continuous improvement of the University's academic quality
assurance and compliance systems. The Monitoring and Compliance Officer assists
in coordinating quality assurance activities, monitoring compliance with
academic policies, standards and procedures, conducting quality audits,
analysing institutional data, preparing reports and supporting quality
improvement initiatives across the University.
The incumbent provides operational support to the Manager
Monitoring and Compliance in ensuring that academic programmes, learning and
teaching processes and institutional quality systems comply with internal
policies, national regulatory requirements and the University's strategic
objectives. The Officer may represent the Office of Learning and Teaching at
meetings and quality-related activities as delegated by the Manager.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree with Postgraduate qualification in
Education, Business Management, Information Systems, Statistics, Quality
Management or a related discipline from a recognised university.
- Minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in
quality assurance, compliance, monitoring, institutional research or
higher education administration.
- Experience in data collection, statistical analysis and
report preparation.
- Demonstrated experience working within a quality
management or compliance environment.
- Sound knowledge of quality assurance processes,
continuous improvement methodologies and academic governance.
Desirable:
- Experience within a higher education institution.
- Quality Assurance or Internal Auditor certification.
- Knowledge of programme accreditation and external
quality assurance requirements.
Salary: FJD37,096 gross per annum plus superannuation
