Background:
An Instructor has experience in
a particular discipline which is taught proficiently up to level 4 Certificate
(level 6 Diploma, if applicable). An Instructor will be engaged with industry
to maintain the currency of his/her qualification and take responsibility for his/her
professional development. An Instructor is involved in the work of their
department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to
function.
Person Specification:
Essential:
·
Valid COC Clas III/Master Class
III/Engineer Class III (Endorsed Watchkeeper/Engineer)
·
OR Diploma in the relevant field
with valid COC Class III
·
With at least 3 years of command
experience on ships of more than 500 gross tonnage/ 750kw on territorial or
near coastal voyages
·
Train the Trainer module from
SPC
Note: Applicants that do not have the Train the Trainer must be prepared
to pursue.
