Background:
An Assistant Instructor is qualified to teach up to level 4
Certificate (level 6 Diploma, if applicable) and assist Instructors/Senior
academics in delivering course content, conducting practical sessions, and
assessing student performance (in classroom and labs). Their responsibilities
also include providing academic guidance to students and assisting in the
development of educational materials and curricula.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Trade Certificate in Aircraft
Maintenance Engineering (Avionic/ Mechanical) OR Certificate in Aircraft
Maintenance Engineering (Avionic/ Mechanical) – (Level 4) OR equivalent
- At least 5 years in an approved
aircraft maintenance organization (145C)
- Plus, Aeronautical Maintenance
Certificate (AMC), OR equivalent certificate
- Plus, Certificate in Teaching
TVET (level 5)/ Cert IV in Training & Assessment/ National Certificate
/ Diploma in Tertiary Teaching
- Note: Applicants
who do not hold the specified teaching qualification should be willing to
upgrade.
- Plus, valid Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Human
Factors training
- Note: Applicants
who do not hold the Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Human Factors training
should be willing to upgrade.
- OR Bachelors’ Degree (FQF Level 7) in the relevant field
with at least 2 years experience in an approved aircraft maintenance
organization (145C) / teaching experience.
Desirable:

Salary: FJD$32,875.00 gross per annum plus superannuation
