Background:
An Assistant Professor is developing
his/her own research and teaching interests and is becoming known nationally
for his/her work. They will effectively contribute to curriculum development,
publish in peer-reviewed international journals or other appropriate outlets
and are likely to have edited collections of work or meeting proceedings. They
should be beginning to show academic leadership in their teaching and/or their
research specialty and be involved in administrative duties at least at
Department/School level.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering
plus,
- Masters in Electrical Engineering
plus,
- Bachelors in Electrical
Engineering,
- With at least 5 years of
teaching/ work experience at the Lecturer rank or equivalent,
- Demonstrated evidence of research
and/or publication record in Scopus / SCI journals,
- Demonstrated evidence in learning
and teaching and the potential to become an effective teacher.
Applicants must demonstrate evidence
of meeting at least one or all the three criteria as listed below:
- University Service
(administration).
- Community Service (contributions
to the wider profession).
- Academic Leadership and
collegiality.
Desirable:
- Administrative duties.
- Demonstrates evidence of ongoing
publications in Q1/Q2 ranked journals.
- Experience in accreditation
processes (e.g program accreditation, curriculum review and quality
assurance).
Salary: FJD68,352.00 gross per annum plus superannuation
