Background:
A Lecturer is qualified to
Masters’ level (FQF level 9) and has expertise in a particular subject which is
taught proficiently at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level programmes (up
to level 8). A Lecturer is research-active and is beginning to publish their
work in peer-reviewed journals. A Lecturer is involved in the work of their
Department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to
function.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Master’s in Journalism, Media Studies,
Communication or relevant field (FQF level 9)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant
teaching/work experience OR
- Research-active: evidence of work
published in peer-reviewed journals
Desirable:
- Demonstrable evidence of quality
teaching
- Clear evidence of good teaching
performance
- University Service (administration)
- Community Service (contributions to the
wider profession)
- Academic Leadership & Collegiality
Salary: FJD49,174.00 gross per annum plus superannuation
