Background:
The Data Manager is Part Time
position (Required:18 Hours a week) responsible for collecting,
entering, validating, and reporting clinical data for all patients admitted to
the ICU at Colonial War Memorial Hospital. This includes data submitted to the
Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society’s Centre for Outcome and
Resource Evaluation (ANZICS CORE) adult ICU registry. The role supports local
quality assurance, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of critical care
outcomes in Fiji and the broader Pacific region.
This
position is embedded within the ICU team and supported by the RECSI program and
the Fiji National University. It directly contributes to strengthened data
systems and evidence-based decision-making in line with RECSI’s Pacific Output
8 and Intermediate Outcome 4.2.
Person Specification:
Essential:
● Diploma or degree in nursing,
health information management, public health, or a related field.
● At least 2 years related
experience with data collection or registry work (e.g., ANZICS CORE).
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
and familiarity with clinical data systems.
● Excellent attention to detail and
commitment to data accuracy and timeliness.
● Strong interpersonal and
communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
● Ability to manage time and
priorities effectively, working independently and as part of a
multidisciplinary team.
● Experience in ICU, emergency or
acute care settings.
● Basic skills in data analysis or
visualization.
● Understanding of quality
improvement methods or health system strengthening.
Salary: Part Time $32 per hour
