Background:
An
Assistant Instructor is qualified to teach units up level 4 Certificate (level
6 Diploma, if applicable) and assist Instructors/Senior academics in delivering
course content, conducting practical sessions, and assessing student
performance (in classroom and labs). Their responsibilities also include
providing academic guidance to students and assisting in the development of
educational materials and curricula.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Valid COC Class IV/Master Class IV/ Engineer Class IV.
- With at least 3 years of work experience as Master Cass IV/Engineer
Class IV.
- Train the Trainer module from SPC.
Note: Applicants that do not have the Train the Trainer must be
prepared to pursue.
Desirable:
- Higher qualification – COC Class III.
- Has a good teaching track record.
- Is undertaking research and may begin to publish research papers.
- University Service (administration).
- Community Service (contributions to the wider profession).
Salary: FJD32,875.00 gross per annum plus 10% superannuation
