Background:
Assistant lecturers may publish research
papers and present their work at conferences, but the primary research activity
will be directed to completing their Masters’ or doctoral requirements. They
will be able to teach units, develop teaching materials but are normally not
required to develop curriculum. Assistant Lecturers are full members of their
department and should be starting to take on limited administrative tasks. Key
responsibilities will include conducting classes at Ba, Natabua and Namaka
Campuses.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Postgraduate with a Bachelor’s qualification in Governance,
Psychology or closely related field.
- Minimum
of two (2) years of relevant work experience, such as teaching experience.
Desirable:- Active
pursuit or successful completion of a relevant Master’s degree.
- Work
experience in Higher Education will be an added advantage.
Salary: FJD32,874.00 gross per annum plus 10% superannuation
