Background: 

Assistant lecturers may publish research papers and present their work at conferences, but the primary research activity will be directed to completing their Masters’ or doctoral requirements. They will be able to teach units, develop teaching materials but are normally not required to develop curriculum. Assistant Lecturers are full members of their department and should be starting to take on limited administrative tasks.

Person Specification: 

Essential:

• PG Diploma in Computer Science/Information Systems/Information Technology or equivalent PLUS Bachelor of Computer Science/Information Systems/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

Desirable:

• Knowledge and experience in programming languages such as C++, Java, .NET, PHP, and C#.
• Knowledge and experience in Android programming.
• Knowledge and experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Knowledge and experience in Cybersecurity.

Salary: FJ$ 32,874 plus 10% superannuation
