Background:
An Instructor has expertise in a particular
discipline which is taught proficiently up to Level 6 Diploma and Higher
Education programmes up to level (FQF Level 7). An Instructor will be engaged
with industry to maintain the currency of his/her qualification and take
responsibility for his/her professional development. An Instructor is involved
in the work of their Department and takes on administrative roles that assist
the Department to function.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- PG Diploma/
Certificate in Food Science, or Food Technology, or Food Chemistry, plus Bachelors’
in a relevant field.
- OR Bachelors
(Hons) (FQF level 8) in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry.
- 2 years of industry/teaching experience.
- Administrative duties.
Desirable:
- Higher
qualification in the relevant field.
- Can teach
proficiently at undergraduate level (FQF Level 7).
- Is actively
engaging with industry and demonstrates contribution to scholarship.
- University
Service (administration).
- Community
Service (contributions to the wider profession).
- Currently
pursuing/willing to pursue/ or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or
Training of Trainers.
Salary: FJD40,244.00 plus 10% superannuation
