Background:
The
Quantity Surveyor (QS) will be responsible for managing the financial aspects
of construction and infrastructure development projects across all Fiji
National University campuses. The role will involve cost estimation, cost
planning, procurement advice, contract administration, and value engineering to
ensure that all projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the
highest standards of compliance.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Degree in
Quantity Surveying or Construction Management with at least 7years of relevant
work experience or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
with at least 14 years of relevant work experience.
Desirable:
- Proven
experience in cost control, contract administration, and project financial
reporting.
- The incumbent
must be computer literate and have a sound working knowledge of Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft Word and Quantity Surveying Software.
- Knowledge
of Building Construction and able to read and interpret drawings.
- Knowledge
and understanding of Health and Safety Requirements in relation to Fiji
and Pacific Requirements.
- Excellent
skills in communication at all levels and within diverse cultures.
- Ability to
motivate staff.
- Ability to
develop and assess scope of works for minor, medium works and major works.
- High qualifications
are desirable.
Salary: FJD50,789.00
- 64,339.00 plus 10% superannuation
