Background:
Assistant
lecturers may publish research papers and present their work at conferences,
but the primary research activity will be directed to completing their Masters’
or doctoral requirements. They will be able to teach units, develop teaching
materials but are normally not required to develop curriculum. Assistant
Lecturers are full members of their department and should be starting to take
on limited administrative tasks.
Person Specification:
Essential:
- PG
Certificate/ Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Education
(Secondary) majoring in Industrial Arts OR a Bachelor of Science in
Industrial Arts and a Graduate Certificate in Education.
- Minimum
of 2 years of relevant work experience.
Desirable:
- At
least 5 years of teaching experience in secondary/ tertiary level in Industrial
Arts will be an added advantage.
Salary: FJD32,847.00 plus 10% superannuation
