Background: 

A Lecturer is qualified to Masters’ level and has expertise in a particular subject which is taught proficiently at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level programmes.  A Lecturer is research-active and is beginning to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals, mainly in lower quartile journals.  A Lecturer is involved in the work of their Department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to function.

Person Specification: 

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s in Nursing and Postgraduate Diploma in any Specialist Nursing field and Registered by the Fiji Nursing Council (e.g. Nurse Practitioner/ Midwifery etc.)                                                                                                                                                 OR Bachelor’s in Nursing and Masters in any Health-related field or Master’s in Education
  • Industrial/clinical experience in your area of expertise.
  • Provide evidence of undertaking consultancies in your area of expertise
  • 6 years’ full time equivalent relevant clinical practice or university teaching experience.

Desirable:

  • Show evidence of research outputs
  • Clear evidence of good teaching performance
  • University Service (administration)
  • Community Service (contributions to the wider profession)
  • Academic Leadership & Collegiality 

Salary: FJD49,174  plus 10% superannuation
