Background
The Institutional Research, Planning and International Relations Office is being strengthened to provide an excellent standard of planning, including the FNU strategic plan, University statistics, surveys, institutional effectiveness and quality frameworks to University management and stakeholders. The Office also supports the coordination of student, staff exchange and mobility under bilateral and multilateral agreements. 
The primary role of the incumbent is to lead the day-to-day business of the department. The incumbent is responsible for providing vision, leadership, and operational direction for all survey activities in the University, overseeing and coordinating the activities and functions of the staff of Institutional Research Section. The incumbent also coordinates all university surveys such as Course Teacher Evaluation, Graduate Employability Survey, Open Day Survey, Employability Survey and any other survey requested by the College Deans and PVC – L&T. The incumbent will also administer in the preparation of Academic Portfolio Review (APR). The role of the incumbent is to lead in all departmental operations and activities and ensure that every task performed with high efficiency and accuracy. The incumbent should be aware of all process and procedures of the department. 

 
Key Responsibilities:
•  Departmental duties, including daily operations of the department. This role also includes:
•  Directing the operations of the Institutional Research Section in the Institutional Research, Planning & International Relations Office;
•  Coordinate and administer all Institutional Surveys;
•  Prepare CTE Reports for the surveys conducted;
•  Final Report checking and submission to Manager;
•  Responsible for providing vision, leadership, and operational direction for all survey activities in the University;
•  Responsible for leading, coordinating, and directing survey- related activities;
•  Overseeing and coordinating the activities and functions of the staff of Institutional Research section;
•  Develop the departmental budget and annual plan.
•  Administer the development of procedure documents for Institutional surveys;
•  Authorize and take authority when and where needed;
•  Lead the team members in achieving the goal set by the Department;
•  Administer all records within the department for reporting;
•  Administer the section Website Update;
•  Administer in the preparation of Academic Portfolio Review report;
•  Be a team player and take responsibilities of all departmental operations; and
•  Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

 
Person Specification:
Essential
•  Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 10 years of post-degree work experience
•  Familiarity with working in a University environment, ability to work commendably with colleges and administration.
•  High level communication skills (written and spoken) in English. 
•  Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team environment.

Desirable
•  Postgraduate qualification. 
•  University experience
•  Excellent problem solving, presentation and analytical skills.
•  Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
•  A professional and proactive attitude
•  Excellent computer knowledge with proficiencies in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, etc. 

Salary Base salary of $43,635.00 plus 10% superannuation.
