Background Assistant lecturers may publish research papers and present their work at conferences but the primary research activity will be directed to completing their master’s requirements. They will be able to teach units, but normally not required to develop curriculum. Assistant Lecturers are full members of their department and should be starting to take on limited administrative tasks
  Responsible to the Dean, through the Head of School, the appointee will be required to Assist in Laboratory Practical/Tutorials/Invigilation/Marking of Bachelor in Urban & Regional Planning units from the School of Building and Civil Engineering. Also involve in marking and reporting of assessments of the units taught under the supervision of unit lecturers. Marking are to be implemented according to policies and procedures. The appointee is required to participate in the school developmental activities.
Person Specification 
•  PG Certificate/Diploma in the relevant field OR Bachelors (Hons) in the relevant field

•  Undertake research and teaching duties while completing a master’s degree
•  Formal tertiary teaching qualification
•  Ability to undertake administrative duties of the department
•  Industry engagement for Professional Development
•  Prior tertiary teaching experience 

Salary Base salary of $30,694.00 plus 10% superannuation.
