Background
A Lecturer is qualified to master’s level, and has expertise in a particular subject which is taught proficiently at undergraduate level.  A Lecturer is research active and is beginning to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals, mainly in lower quartile journals.  A Lecturer is involved in the work of their Department and takes on administrative roles that assist the Department to function
The University is looking for an enthusiastic Educationist to join its academic team preparing Fiji and regional students in the fields of Teacher Education. 

 
The Lecturer will be expected to conduct lectures and tutorials for the Education courses presently offered at the School of Education, Lautoka Campus. 
The Lecturer will also be expected to carry out course development, involving the improvement of current courses, and the creation and delivery of courses relevant to the various programmes offered throughout the University.
In addition to teaching, the Lecturer will be expected to carry out research and consultancy work leading to papers being presented at local & international conferences and publications in academic books and journals. 

 
Person Specification:
Essential
•  Master’s degree in Education

Desirable
•  Research active 
•  Show evidence of work published in peer-reviewed journals
•  Must have experience in Blended Learning

Salary Base salary  $42,248.00 plus 10% superannuation
