Background The Lecturer – Health Services Management is required by the School of Public Health & Primary Care in the delivery of teaching and programme development of the Health Services Management (HSM) program in the Department of Public Health & Health Services Management. The incumbent will be responsible for some research and publications in the HSM areas including both the policy and operational health research, engage in some consultancy in the HSM area within the university’s policies, and administrative obligations directed by the Head of Department, Head of School, Dean, and Vice Chancellor
  The primary purpose of this position is to operate effectively as part of a team of academic, technical and administrative colleagues in order to facilitate learning and the advancement of HSM knowledge through teaching, research/publication, consultancy and administration. More specifically, the incumbent is responsible for carrying out teaching, course co-ordination and be part of curriculum development for HSM undergraduate degree as part of development duties and other activities as required at the undergraduate and later, the postgraduate levels.  The primary role of the incumbent is to teach, research/publish, consult, and provide general administration support to teaching within the HSM discipline under the Department of Public Health and Health Services Management (DPHHSM). 
Person Specification:
•  Master’s Degree, preferably in Health Services Management or Health Administration 
•  Master of Public Health (with 2 years or more of health management experience) 

•  Health or health-related background
•  Research active
•  Formal tertiary teaching qualification 
•  Prior teaching experience in health management  

Salary Base salary  $42,248.00 plus 10% superannuation
